Rose Knopik, age 85, a resident of Little Falls, MN, died May 18, 2000, at St. Otto's Care Center in Little Falls.
Mass of Christian Burial was held May 22 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Little Falls , with Father Leroy Kremer officiating. Burial was in the parish cemetery.
Rose was born on October 11, 1914, to John and Veronica (Piekarski) Zilka in Pike Creek Township. She was raised on the farm and attended Br ickyard School, District 1190. Rose was united in marriage to Ben Knopik on May 14, 1934, in Little Falls. Following their marriage, they farmed in Flensburg before moving to
Little Falls in 1942 where they farmed until retiring in 1967. Rose enjoyed sewing, gardening, and being with
her family. She was a senior member of Christian Mothers and a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church.
Survivors includes sons Theodore and wife Sharon of Little Falls, Ben Jr. and wife Marlys of Fari bault, MN,
Richard and wife Jean of Swanville, MN , Robert and wife Marlene of Little Falls, and Edward and wife LaVonne of Little Falls; daughters, Mrs. Duane (Patricia) Borash of Bowlus, MN, Mrs. Alvin (Berna dette) Hansmann of Little Falls; 33 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her paren ts; husband Ben Knopik (February 15, 1991); daughter Genevieve Boser; three grandsons, one granddaughter, one great-granddaughter, 14 brothers and sisters.
Casketbearers were Ken Borash, Loren K nopik, David Knopik, Jim Knopik, Michael Knopik and David Hansmann.
