"Funeral services for Martin H Connelly, 86, of 109 S Brevard Ave, Tampa, Fla, formerly of Connelly Park, who died Monday (Jan 26, 1970) in Tampa, will be held at 2pm Friday in Powers Funeral Home. The Rev Franklin B Laundry, pastor of Hurlbut Memorial Community Church, Chautauqua, will officiate. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery...Mr Connelly was born March 8, 1883, in the town of Harmony, the son of Austin M and Jessie Cummings Connelly. With his father and brothers, he had operated the Chautauqua View Farms, a widely known pure-bred Guernsey fam. He retired from dairy and general farming in 1945, spending winters in Florida since 1947. He was a member of Mt Moriah Lodge No 145, F & AM. Surviving are his wife, Mrs Elizabeth Kosmeier Connelly; three sons, Kenneth A Connelly, Cincinnati, Ohio, Wesley H Connelly (Leslie), Syracuse, and Clarence M Connelly, Dobbs Ferry; eight grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and two brothers, Herbert L Connelly, Kenmore, and Frank H Connelly, Clifton Springs. The family suggests that memorials may be made to WCA Hospital."
