James Heber Dimick was the son of James Heber Dimick and Nancy Marinda Wamsley. He married first Rose Maria Dalrymple 14 February 1882 in Montpelier, Bear Lake, Idaho.
They had children:
Rose Adeline "Addie" Dimick Cook
James H. Dimick (died as infant)
Maud Mae Dimick (died as child)
Mary Ann "Mae" Dimick Cook

Rose Marie died about 1890, and James Heber Dimick, Jr. married his older brother Thomas Jefferson Dimick's widow, Louisa Eschler 15 January 1894 in Paris, Bear Lake, Idaho, United States. He cared for his niece and step daughter Luella, and his nephews and step sons Thomas LeRoy and Hubert Cleman Dimick.
