Funeral services will be Thursday, Aug. 14, 2003, at 1 p.m. in North Hampton Baptist Church. Officiating will be the Rev. Jack Mobley.
A Committal Service will be held at 4 p.m. in Ocean Woods Cemetery in Myrtle Beach. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2003, at Graham Funeral Home.
Mrs. Ackerman was born June 14, 1924, in Springfield, Mo., a daughter of the late Ora Elden Morse and Maggie Frye Morse. She was a retired tower operator with the S.C. Forestry Commission with over 20 years of service.
She was a member of North Hampton Baptist Church and the Adult Sunday School class. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and taking care of her family.
Surviving are two sons, Bob E. Ackerman of Georgetown and Dwight Lee Ackerman of Pawleys Island; three daughters, Sarah A. Redd of Cleveland, Texas, Lynn A. Howard of Columbia and Judy A. Lucas of Garden City; a sister, Bonnie Ledford of Eugene, Ore.; 14 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by two sons, Francis Ackerman and Ervin Elden Ackerman.
