Bear resident N. Esther Eastburn died on Saturday, January 24, 2004.
Eastburn, 67, was born in Marshalltown in 1936, She was employed as a secretary at the former Diamond State Telephone Co. and as a records technician at Delaware Technical and Community College in Stanton. She was a member of the Pioneers Club, talented at needlework and an avid collector of dolls.
She is survived by her brother, Francis Eastburn of Bear; sisters, Olive Robbins of Bear and Carolyn Eastburn of Newark; nephews, Robert Eastburn of Flagstaff, Ariz., Alfred Eastburn of Fla. and Bryan Robbins of LaGrange Park, Ill.; and nieces, Janet Chickadel of Brandon, Fla., Linda Nourie of Wilmington and Deborah Swierkowski of LaGrange Park, Ill..
Funeral services were scheduled at the R.T. Foard & Jones Funeral Home, 122 W. Main St., Newark. Burial is in the Ebenezer United Methodist Church Cemetery.
