By 1900 the family had moved on to Nebraska and Ralph had a brother Hudson and two sisters Margaret and Julia. He was married in 1902 to Clara Vinell Spears (1879 - 1925) and had two daughters Maple E and Alice M and two sons Frederick and Warren, by the 1920 census Ralph and Florence had joined the family in 1921 George joined the family and sometime in 1925 Ralph lost his wife Clara.
Funeral services were directed by Chapel of the Pines in Valentine, Nebraska.
