PILOT MOUNTAIN, NC (Brims Grove Community) ~ Mrs. Deborah Kay Arrington Joyce, loving wife and mother, age 57, of Pilot Mountain, died Wednesday, July 4, 2012 at Forsyth Medical Center.
She was born July 16, 1954 in Surry County to the late A.B. & Ludie Law Arrington.
Mrs. Joyce was a CNA and served many different institutions and homes over the years and loved her work and her patients. She also assisted her family in the family store business and was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived her husband, Terry Joyce of the home; son, Patrick Joyce of the home; sisters, Valeria Hardy & husband Robert of Carthage, NC, Frances & husband Robert Marion of Rural Hall, NC and Diana & husband Kenneth Lawrence of Pilot Mountain, NC; brothers, Rex & wife Linda Arrington of Cana, VA, Robert & wife Pam Arrington of Mount Airy, NC, Donald & wife Patsy Arrington of Westfield, NC and Ricky Arrington of Mount Airy, NC; several nieces and nephews including special nieces, Liz, Lisa & Kennette and special canine companion, Tyson.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Joyce was preceded in death by her brother, Kenneth Arrington; sister, Faye Chappell and two infant siblings.
Funeral Service will be held on Friday, July 6, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Howell-Nelson Funeral Chapel conducted by Bro. Frank Huffman.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 5, 2012 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Howell-Nelson Funeral Service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the animal humane society of the donor's choice, or to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure , ATTN: Donor Services, P.O. Box 650309, Dallas, TX 75265 or go have a pizza, preferably sausage, green peppers and onions and smile with her while you enjoy it.
