Abraham Lincoln Belton, 96, of Blue Ridge Rehab Center and formerly of Forest Street, Martinsville, died Friday, Oct. 21, 2005, at Memorial Hospital in Martinsville.
He was born in Patrick County on July 3, 1909, to John Belton and Annie Custer Belton. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Coreta Handy Belton; a daughter, Rebecca Belton; and two sisters, Nannie Belton and Mary Hiatt.
Belton retired from Buck Ranger Fuel in Martinsville where he worked for 36 years.
Surviving are a daughter, Jeanette Belton Swain of Martinsville; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at McKee-Stone Funeral Services chapel with the Rev. Tim Satterfield officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Burial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
