Bessie Allen Burton was the daughter of Charles Allen and Lizzie Hoag. She was a long time resident of Schuylerville, New York. Living with her mother in a well appointed apartment at 140 Broad Street for many years. Bessie had a short lived marriage with John I. Burton. They married in 1903, both age 17 and had a child in 1904, also named John Burton. He died in infancy in 1905 and is buried near his mother and grandparents in the Allen plot. John and Bessie were living apart in the 1910 US Census. He died in 1927.
