A native of Phoenix, he had lived in the the state all his life, working as a truck driver until a year ago, when he became ill. Mr. Diaz was a member of American Legion Post 41.
Survivors include his wife Angelita, a daughter Maria E. of Phoenix, four brothers, Claudio, Edward, and Augustine of Phoenix, and Jose of Pasadena, CA. Three sisters, Mrs. Mary Fischer, Mrs. Esther Rivera of Phoenix, and Mrs. Beatrice Fernandez of Tempe.
Rosary will be at 8 p.m. tomorrow in Whitney and Murphy Funeral Home, 330 N. second Ave. Mass will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday in St. Mary's Church, 231 N. Third St. Burial will be at St. Francis Cemetery.
