Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 27, at Caribe Funeral Home chapel in Chicago. Burial will be in Forest Home Cemetery, Forest Park, Illinois.

Theodor Horn was born August 27, 1864, in Hinrichsdorf, Island of Fehmarn, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, the son of Hartwig and Anna (Furboter) Horn. He came to the United States on October 13, 1879 to Chicago, Illinois with his brother, Christian Horn. Two other brothers, Heinrich and Hartwig Horn, also came to Chicago. He used the name Theodore during his lifetime. He married Ida Antonia Stegmann on July 27, 1890, in Chicago. They were the parents of Elsie, Estelle, Loretta, Robert, Ernest and Gertrude. Ida preceded him in death on June 14, 1905. He married Elizabeth (Paus) Degler on June 2, 1906, in Chicago. She preceded him in death on January 8, 1924. He married Caroline (Schick) Wildt on December 6, 1924, in Chicago. He was employed as a carpenter, building staircases in the Chicago area.

Surviving are his wife, Caroline; two daughters, Estelle (Otto) Hessler of Western Spring, IL, and Loretta Horn of Chicago; two sons, Robert (Mabel) Horn of Chicago and Ernest (Clara) Horn Sr., of Haines, AK; and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his first two wives, two daughters, Elsie Horn and Gertrude Horn, one granddaughter, Evelyn Hessler, one grandson, Theodore Horn and three brothers, Heinrich, Christian and Hartwig Horn.
