OBITUARY
Hulda Charlotte Bloomquist
Hulda Charlotte Abrahamson was born in Östergötland, Sweden, on October 28, 1877. At the age of three she came with her family to the United States. Shortly after their arrival in this country, the Abrahamson family in the Stratford-Dayton community. Among others of her family, Hulda Abrahamson attended the church which is now the Emanuel Lutheran Church in Dayton. She was confirmed in this church in April 1, 1894 by Pastor J.A. Christenson and remained a faithful member of the church until her death.
She was united in marriage with Mr. Albert Bloomquist on April 11, 1900. The family home has been in Dayton since that time. After nearly fifty years of marriage Mr. Bloomquist passed away on June 14, 1949.
Early in the morning of Sept. 26 Mrs. Bloomquist became seriously ill and was taken to Lutheran Hospital in Fort Dodge where she passed away at 1:20 p.m. At the time of her death she had reached the age of 82 years, 10 months and 28 days. She is survived by her son Emory of Omaha, Nebr., one brother, Oscar Abrahamson of Dayton and other relatives.
Funeral services were held on September 29 at the Emanuel Lutheran Church in Dayton with services conducted by Rev. Carlson with interment at the Dayton Cemetery.
