Mrs. Crist died Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2006, at Colonial Manor, Lansing.
She was born Nov. 2, 1923, the eldest child of Grace Lamborn and Leonard J. Reu.
Mrs. Crist graduated from Leavenworth High School in 1941. The following year, she attended Saint Mary College in Leavenworth. She graduated from San Diego County General Hospital School of Nursing in 1949 and from Kansas State University in 1953.
In 1977, she married Harvey Crist of Syracuse, Kan. They later divorced, but their friendship continued.
After 30 years of federal service, Mrs. Crist retired in 1986 from the Veterans Administration Hospital, San Francisco.
Mrs. Crist permanently moved to Leavenworth in October 1997.
She was a member for nearly 50 years of Graham Chapter 395, Order of the Eastern Star and was a member of the Santa Rosa, Calif., Quilt Guild, National Active and Retired Federal Employees, Lansing Historical Society and American Bird Conservatory.
Survivors include two sisters Bonnie Hobbs and Jeanette Dickson.
The family suggests memorials to the Lansing United Methodist Church Building Fund, sent in care of the funeral chapel, 531 Shawnee, Leavenworth 66048.
