Michael Colohan died July 4 at his residence in Kingsport, TN, after a short illness. He was the son of the late Edward & Margaret Colohan. Born in Norwalk in 1940, he graduated from St. Mary School, Norwalk, Fairfield Prep (Honors Division), Norwalk Community College and Purdue University School of Flying. He then began a career as an airline pilot for 35 years, flying for several airline companies. He was also an instructor pilot at Sikorsky Airport, Bridgeport. Michael was an avid sports fan. He played basketball and tennis and enjoyed watching professional and college sports events. He was also a boating enthusiast and enjoyed going to major boat shows on the East Coast. He also was a faithful altar server at St. Thomas Church, East Norwalk. Survivors include his brother; Rev. Edward Colohan, of Stamford, 3 sisters; Della and William Pratt of Franklin, Tenn., Mary Cobb, of Arlington, Texas, Eileen and Alfred Faulkner, of Bridgeport, several nieces and nephews and several grand nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday, July 10th, at 11:00 A.M. in St. Thomas the Apostle Church, East Norwalk. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery, Norwalk. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. The family requests donations to St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 203 East Ave., East Norwalk, CT 06855.
