Elaine Alma McBride, 61, of 501 South McQueen St., Florence, a former resident of Jonesville, died Sunday, March 24, 2002 at 9:27 p.m. in Carolina Hospital.
Ms. McBride was born in Jonesville on July 20, 1940, a daughter of the late Lewis and Edith Horne McBride. She was of the Baptist faith. She was a graduate of Jonesville High School and was formerly employed with City Motors in Jonesville.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas L. "Tom-Tom" Simmons Jr. and Angie McGowan Simmons of Union and Christopher Todd Simmons and Pamela Lawson Simmons of Woodruff and formerly of Jonesville; a daughter and son-in-law, Pamela Simmons Rose and Marcus Rose of Union; a sister, Brea McBride of Union; two brothers, Friday McBride and Randy McBride, both of Jonesville; six grandchildren: Sonya Sinclair of Buffalo, Shannon Manibusan, Ashley Simmons and Amber Simmons all of Jonesville, April Simmons and Zachary Simmons both of Union; three great-grandchildren, Amanda Sinclair of Buffalo, Novah Manibusan and Little Matt Manibusan, both of Jonesville. Ms. McBride was predeceased by a brother, Louie McBride.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. today at Holcombe's Jonesville Chapel conducted by the Rev. Randy Smith. Burial will be in Gilead Baptist Church Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Tim Robinson, Matthew Manibusan, William Turner Sr., Steven Ledford, Shawn Ledford and Derrill Eaves.
The family is at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, "Tom-Tom" and Angie Simmons, 514 Toluca St., Union.
The S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.
