Came to Napa and purchased the property west of town, upon which he built his beautiful home and named it "Chula Vista." He founded the A. L. Bryan Shoe Company. A member of

Golden Gate Commandery, K. T., of San Francisco, and of Tuscan Lodge, F. & A.M., and of Ransom Post, G.A.R., of St. Louis.
