Noah's story written by his mom to post here:

At the end of February of this year we found out I was pregnant. We were so excited due to the fact we could never have children before. We had been through Fertility with no success and had come to terms with it.I was 21/2 moths along and could not wat until September.

Everything was going great with the pregnancy I went in for a routine songram on 6/13/12 (which was quite painful)I had had this problem before with the same technician.

Three hours later I started having contractions. I called my doctor the next day and they sent me to the hospital to get checked out. I was sent home saying I had an infection (that I didn't have).

On 6/17/12 before bed I started bleeding and my water broke.

We were so worried after talking with the NICU doctor on the possible issues we might face giving birth 3 month early. I was able to hold out till I had my last shot of steriods to develop his lungs and on 6/18/12 at 6:03pm I gave birth to our beautiful son Noah Mason Matthew Herren. H

He cried the moment he came out which suprised the doctors because he was so early. He weighed in at 1lb. 15 ounces and was 13.75 in.

Noah exceeded everyones expectations. He breathed on his own from the day he was born only needing a cpap. He had no real heath issues other then a valve that had not closed that normally does when a baby is born. The doctor said this was not unusal for preemies.

The started Noah on a intrevienus medication that could possibly close the valve. He needed three doses. After the third does I notice that his forearm was red and it looked to be pussing. I said something to the nurse and he said he had called the doctor in to check it out.

At first they said they though that he had a staph infection at the IV site. and started treating him for that while they sent a blood culture down to be tested. We found out a couple days later that it was actually an ecoli infection that was transmitted through his IV line.

The day before Noah got sick he was playing with momma kicking his legs in excitment over what I was saying to him or the tone I used at least and smiling at me.

That memory of my sweet boy will be etched in my mind forever. The ecoli infection took over his little body rapidly.

Within four days this horrible infection took our little Noah to Heaven on the morning of 7/4/12.

The doctor told me that the murmur in his heart he could bearly hear so the meds had closed or nearly closed that open valve' but at what price.

My sweet little Noah is missed so much.
