Ensign, U.S. Navy. Served aboard the U.S.S. Lexington (CV-16, "The Blue Ghost"). Missing in action in the South Pacific on 24 Oct 1944 during the Battle of Leyte Gulf. He was flying in a F6F-5 aircraft, BUNO 70186, off of the USS Lexington.
