AIKEN – Funeral Services for Mr. Thomas Henry Aaron, Jr., 59, of Aiken, SC, who entered into rest on Saturday, July 7, 2012 after a courageous three-month battle against cancer, will be conducted at 3 PM on Friday, July 13th, 2012 from the Shellhouse Funeral Chapel. Tom Jourdan officiating. Interment in Southlawn Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be, Parker Aaron, Michael Allen, Chad Kimbrell, Joe Parker, Ken Rueter, and Huey Stikeleather. Honorary pallbearers will be Dick Chelchowski, Mark Crist, Dale Lipscomb, and Jeff White.

The family will receive friends from 1-3 PM at the funeral home. A reception celebrating Tom's life will follow after the burial at the home of Ronnie and Joyce Raum.

Tom was born in Tallahassee, Florida, having made Aiken his home since 1984. He was a superintendent for E.I. DuPont for many years, followed by years in construction project management with various construction firms, most recently for The Shaw Group. He was a member of Masonic Lodge #156, and the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 234 of Jacksonville, FL. He loved riding his Harley, hunting, fishing, snow skiing and spending time with his wife and son.

Tom was a devoted loving husband, father and brother. He was highly respected throughout the construction industry and left his hand prints on major projects throughout the south.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Melanie Jo "JoJo" Sweeney Aaron; son, Parker Aaron, Aiken; a brother and his wife, Eddie & Charon Aaron, Greenville, FL; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, neighbors and friends.
