James "Jimmy" "King James" Allen, a self employed masonry cement finisher, died Wed. July 4, 2012 at Oschner/St. Ann Hospital in raceland.

He was 58, a native of Houma and a resident of Raceland.

A visitation will be held at Williams and Southall Funeral Home in Napoleonville on Sun. July 8, 2012 from 3 pm. to 5 pm., and at Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church, 4928 N. Bayou Black Dr. in Gibson on Mon. July 9, 2012 from 9 am. to 11:30 am. Religious services beginning at 12 pm. conducted by Rev. Lloyd Jones. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

He is survived by his parents, Rev. James Allen Sr., and Eula Bellizana Allen of Houma, two sons, Torran Fleming of Mamou, and Quinton Allen of St. Rose, five daughters, Demetria and Medeline Allen and Rema (Corey) Harris all of Houma, Ja'Mee Green and Ashiya Washington of Raceland, one brother, Dennis (Janell) Allen of Houma, one sister, LaFern Jones of Houma, a foster sister, Shanderay Aitkens of Houma, devoted friend, Shelia Green of Raceland. He was also survived by five grandchildren and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Anthony Allen, paternal grandparents, John Allen Sr. and Elnora Hawkins Allen, maternal grandparents, Jack Bellizana and Vellia Robinson Bellizana, a brother-in-law, Jessie Jones, granddaughter, Layla Fleming, six uncles and four aunts.

James was a Deacon at Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church and a member of various organizations including Blaine C. Clay Lodge #14 F&AM, Samuel Wright Chapter #40 Royal Arch Masons, Lawrence Ketchens #18 Knights Templar, John Parson Consistory #170, Platta Temple #15 Shrine Club, J.J. Clement #15 Order of Eastern Stars and 2nd Vice-President with the Krewe of Shaka Carnival Club in Thibodaux.

Jimmy was a friend to all and will be sadly missed.
