He was the son of William and Helen (Roe) Larson.

He graduated from Newark High School with the class of 1945. Stanley married Alberta Johnson on October 06, 1951 at West Lisbon Lutheran Church. For all of their married life they farmed in the Lisbon area. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and friend. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Survivors are his wife of 59 years, Alberta; two sons, Pastor Steve (Kristi) Larson of rural Morris and Jonathan
Larson of Kankakee; one daughter, Nancy (Mick) Rossi of Studio City, CA; five grandchildren, Anna (Patrick)
VandenBos , Jodi (Mark) Johnson, Sarah Larson, Kelli Larson and Seth Larson; five great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents; two sisters, Wilma Kaldheim and Ada Davidson and one brother, Harvey Larson.

He was a lifelong, active member of Grace Lutheran Church where he formerly served on the church council, was a
Sunday school teacher and Sunday school superintendent. Presently Stanley was president of Saratoga Cemetery
Association. Formerly served on Saratoga School Board, 4-H leader, Grainco FS and on the board for Family and Youth Bible Camp. He was a soloist for many weddings and funerals for families and friends in the area.
