"H.G. Greely, Sr. Dies"
Funeral services tio be conducted at Cat Moutain Church
H.G. Greely, Sr. 63, stricken while walking on twentieth street between sixth and seventh avenues, died on the way to Hillman Hospital in a Johns-Service ambulance. He resided at 4029 Fairmont Way.

The funeral is announced for 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in Cat Mountain Church, the Rev. Mr. Thomas officiating, with burial in the adjoining cemetery, Johns-Service directing.

Surviving are four sons, Sam, Richard, Jesse and H.G. Greely, Jr. and two dauughters, Mrs. E.R. Teer and Mrs. H.D. Carlin.

Horace Greely Womack Sr. is the son of Richard Green Womack and Nancy Elizabeth (Taylor or Shelton-Taylor) Womack.

The birth date is also confirmed by his second marriage certificate to Martha Harris on 5 Mar 1921 in Jefferson Co., AL. That marriage certificate lists his age as 48 years old and Martha Harris was listed as age 39. ( His first wife, Nancy Jane Alley, had passed away in 1920.)

His first marriage was to Nancy Jane Alley. Horace Greely Womack, Sr. and Nancy Jane Alley had seven children: Horace Greely Womack, Jr., Samuel Arnold Womack, Buelah Mae (Womack) Carlin, Mary Ethel (Womack) Teer, Lillie Bell Womack, Jesse (Pee Wee) Odell Womack, and Richard Green Womack II. He worked in the powder mills of Alabama.
