She was raised in Alabama with four brothers and four sisters.
Mom served in World War II in the U.S. Army, stationed at Ft. Leonard Wood, MO. She worked most of her life in the cotton mills while raising two daughters, her life was not an easy one. In the last several years of her life she struggled with numerous health problems, but she was a fighter and she never gave up. Mom taught me many lessons in life, the most important being "Not until you have walked a mile in my shoes."
She loved her old chair, The Golden Girls & her cigarettes.
She was survived by daughters Susan Uribe and Linda Bishop, three grandchildren and three great grandchildren. My son, Jason was the love of her life, he was always "Her Hero".
She was predeceased by her first husband, James C. "Jim" DeLoach and her second husband, William "Bill" Franklin.
Mom was a beautiful woman who was proud of her country, her children, and of her independence. She was also the bravest woman I have ever known.
"IF MY LOVE COULD HAVE SAVED YOU, YOU WOULD HAVED LIVED FOREVER"...
