The funeral for Nellie Hess, 81, of Central Point, who died Wednesday, will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Conger- Morris Downtown Chapel, Medford, with the Rev. Warren P. Frank, rector of St. Mark's Episcopal Parish, officiating. Interment will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Roseburg Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Robert Moore of St. George's Episcopal Church, Roseburg, officiating.
Mrs. Hess was born Aug. 22, 1900, in Hulett, Wyo. On Nov. 16, 1922, in Gilette, Wyo., she married Henry D. Hess, who died Jan. 12.
She lived in Roseburg 1934-1945, when she moved to the Rogue River Valley. She was a member of the order of Eastern Star.
Survivors include one son, Steve Hess, Medford; one daughter, Mrs. Walter (Betty) Tomlin, Medford; one sister, Rosa Vesser, Moorcroft, Wyo.; seven grandchildren and fibe great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, James W. Hess in 1944; two brothers and two sisters.
