Edward Milton Golladay was born 19 September 1911, to Walter and Edith Ireland Golladay in Glen Elder, KS. He was named after his Uncle on his mother's side, Edward Seibert Ireland. He departed this life Thursday, May 18, 1989, at the El Dorado Hospital in Tucson, Arizona, at the age of 77 years, 7 months and 29 days.

Edward spent his early years in Glen Elder. He attended Glen Elder schools, and graduated from Beloit High School in the class of 1929.

He entered the United States Army as a Private in March, 1930. On 7 Dec 1941, Edward was a Company 1st Sgt. Hq Det, 1st Bn, 21st Inf Reg, at Schofield Barracks, Pearl Harbor, T.H., when the Japanese attacked. He saw action with the 24th Infantry Division and was active in the Pacific Theater, and was in the occupation forces of Japan. As a Chief Warrant Officer-2 [CWO-2], he was on the staff of General Douglas MacArthur in Tokyo, Japan from 5 Mar 1946 to 30 Jun 47. He was assigned to the Counter Intelligence Corps in 1954. He was transferred to Fort Huachuca, Arizona where he retired in January 1957 as a Chief Warrant Officer W-4. Edward and Patricia moved to Bisbee, Arizona, from Tokyo in May, 1956.

Edward was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6242 of Beloit, Kansas and The Retired Officers Association.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, James Golladay; and six children, Katherine, Ann, Barbara, Angelina, Bryan and Edward Golladay. Cause of death was due to respiratory failure and hypertension. Edward was also in stage 1 of prostrate cancer.

Left to mourn his passing are his wife, Patricia of the home; two sons, Robert E. Golladay [1940-2019] of Madison, AL, Walter D. Golladay and wife Peggy of Loveland, Ohio; one step-son, James V. Senefsky [1936-2011] and wife JoAnn of Asotin, WA; one sister, Evelyn File [1917-2014] Beloit, Kansas; one sister-in-law, Beatrice (Marzolf) Golladay [1914-2002]; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In November 1938, in Oahu, Territory of Hawaii, Edward Married 1st wife Victorine Louise (Williams) Senefsky. Two children were born into this marriage. He would divorce Victorine in September 1949, in San Diego, CA.

In September 1949, in San Francisco, CA, he married 2nd wife Mary Margaret White. In April 1951, he divorced Mary without issue.

In April 1951, in Sausalito, CA, Edward married 3rd wife Patricia Jane Gallatin. Six children were born into this marriage. None survived.
