Keith E. Cropp, age 90, of Menomonie, WI passed away Friday, November 9, 2012 at the American Lutheran Home in Menomonie.
He was born October 26, 1922 in Menomonie, WI to Herman and Leilah (Givney) Cropp. Keith was raised in Menomonie and graduated from Dunn County Aggie in 1940. During W.W. II, he served in the U.S. Army from 1942 to 1944 in the Pacific Theatre.
Keith married Bernetta Erickson on June 23, 1950 at Christ Lutheran Church in Menomonie where he was an active member for many years. He farmed all his life in the Lucas and Menomonie Townships. Keith loved spending time with his family. He also enjoyed the time he spent in the woods cutting firewood as well as playing dart ball.
Keith is survived by his wife, Bernetta; a son, Robert (Kimberly) Cropp; four grandchildren, Heidi (Dale) Borreson, Mark (Amy) Cropp, Kate (Elvis) Bauman and Jennifer Cropp; six great-grandchildren, Megan, Hannah, Samuel, Gabriel, Elijah and Grace; he is also survived by a brother, Roy (Dee) Cropp and a sister Edith (Bob) Miller as well as nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Susan Cropp; and three brothers, Carrol, Herman Jr. and Loren.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at Christ Lutheran Church in Menomonie, with Pastor Geoff Scott officiating. There will be visitation from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie and at the church one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Burial will be in Tramway Cemetery in the Town of Menomonie, Dunn Co. WI with military honors by Menomonie Veterans Honor Guard.
