Mrs. Eliza Barhite
Mrs. Eliza Barhite, aged 75 years, died at her home, 335 north Marshall avenue, at 3:00 o'clock Sunday afternoon, following a brief illness.
Mrs. Barhite was born February 22, 1861, in Eaton county and was the daughter of David and Laura DeForest. She was the last survivor of a family of twelve children. Her husband, William Barhite, died 26 years ago. Twenty-five years ago Mrs. Barhite moved to Marshall from Lee township. An only child, Niles Barhite, died in 1918. Mrs. Barhite is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the Kelser-More Funeral Home, with Reverend F. M. Thurston officiating. Burial will be in the Porter cemetery, Convis township.
