Pfc. Alejandro J. Pardo, 21, of Porterville, Calif., died July 8, of wounds suffered when enemy forces attacked their unit in Maidan Shahr, Wardak province, Afghanistan, with an improvised explosive device. He was assigned to the 978th Military Police Company, 93rd Military Police Battalion, Fort Bliss, Texas. Alejandro passed away on July 8, 2012. He was a SPC in the US Army. Rosary will be held at Holy Cross Church, Porterville, on Mon., July 23, 2012 at 6:00 PM. Mass will be held at Holy Cross Church, Porterville, on Tues., July 24, 2012 at 11:00 AM with burial at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Porterville.
