Marvin was born to the late Jessie Roy Shireman Jr. and Ruby Bell (Roach) Shireman. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Marvin was preceeded in death by one brother, Roy Neal Shireman, and two sisters, Marilyn Sue Shireman Rose and Peggy Ann Shireman Hunt. He is survived by his brother, Bobby Dale Shireman, two daughters, Alicia and Stacy Shireman and two grand daughters, Haley York and Aaliyah Slater.
