Fred G. Sutton, 53, of Camptown, Wyalusing Township, died Saturday evening, Dec. 8, 2001, at Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre. He was born Sept. 30, 1949, in Sayre, a son of the late Frederick and Cora Kithcart Sutton. He has been a resident of Camptown for 13 years. Prior to that, lived in the New Era area. His employment included J.R. Mortan Chevrolet of LeRaysville, Rought's of LeRaysville and Jones Garage of Rome. He was last employed by U.S. Seal of West Wyoming as a truck driver, until his illness wouldn't allow him to continue. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post No. 534, Wyalusing. He enjoyed NASCAR and was an Earnhardt fan. He also enjoyed time spent playing darts and pool. He is survived by his wife, Wanda Kobbe Sutton of Wyalusing; children, Denise Sutton of Burlington, Betsy (Tom) Armitage Jr. of Wyalusing, Cory (Cassie) Sutton of Stevensville; grandchildren, Eric Sutton of Towanda, Cody and Kyle Sutton of Germany, Jordan, Taylor and Kelsy Armitage of Wyalusing, Tyler, Kayleen and Morgan Sutton of Stevensville; mother, Cora Sutton of Wyalusing; sister, Beverly Sutton and her friend, Kerry Detrick, of Sugar Run; sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Bruce Williams of Warren Center; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Frederick Sutton, in 1986, and son, Kevin Sutton in 1997. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 13, at the McHenry Funeral Home, 106 Church St., Wyalusing, with the Rev. Larry Thomas, of New Milford, officiating. Interment will follow in Camptown Cemetery. Friends and family are invited to call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12, at the McHenry Funeral Home, Wyalusing.
