SMALL BOY DIES FROM BURNS
Ronald Holtzman, three years old died shortly after midnight Tuesday morning from the effect of a scalding which he sustained at 11am Monday. Mrs Holtzman who was doing the washing on Monday, had emptied the hot water from a wash boiler into a pail and had gone outdoors about her work, the boy being outdoors with her. He slipped away into the house to get a drink and by accident sat down in the pail. Mrs Holtzman called by the little boy's screams ran into the house but he already had got himself out of the hot water. However he was dressed tolerably heavily and the heavy clothing held in the steam so that by the time his mother got the clothing off of him the boy was scalded from his armpits down to this ankles so that the skin came off with the clothing. With so large apart of his body covered by the scalds, nothing could be done to save the child's life and he died a little over twelve hours later, The physician gave him hypodermics to relieve his pain.
Roanld was three years old on August 25th. He has a sister about four and five year old and a baby brother about six months old. The parents, Mr and Mrs Guy Holtzman, live on a farm about halfway between Lima and Fayette.

Ronald was buried in Grandview Cemetery at Fayette, Iowa
