Killeen, Tex.- Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday here for Col. Walter D. Lundy, former Lincolnite and military advisor for URS Corp., a computer firm, in Arizona and Killeen.

A graduate of the University of Nebraska, Col. Lundy was with Western Union in Kansas City, St. Louis, Omaha and Lincoln until he was called into service. He served during WWII and returned to Lincoln and to work at Western Union. He was called back by the government to serve in Specialized communications. He retired in 1966.

Col. Lundy was an active member of Bethany Christian Church as a student, and of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Lincoln and Dundee Presbyterian Church in Omaha.

He was a member of Lancaster Lodge 54, AF&AM, Scottish Rite, Sesostris Temple Shrine and was active in Lincoln Chamber of Commerce and YMCA.

Survivors include his wife, daughters, brother and six grandchildren.
