The people of this vicinity were saddened to learn of the death on Friday, March 7th of Mrs G.E Holtzman at her home southeast of Fayette, caused by the influenza;and the neighborhood is mouning for her untimely death. She was born on the farm North of Lima, on March 25th, 1893 and was nearly 26 years old at the time of her death.
On February 26 1913, she was uninted in marriage to Mr G.E. Holtzman, since which time they have resided on a farm in this neighborhood. A son was born to them 2 years ago (Milford Earl) and as a happy family they lived in each others' society until grim death entered the happy home.
Besides her husband and son, she leaves to mourn her are her Father and Mother, three brothers and two sisters and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held in the methodist church at Fayette on Sunday March 9th officiated by Rev D.M. Parker. Burial was held at the Grandview Cemetery in Fayette, Iowa
