Wiley J. Aaron was the son of William Aaron & Nicey Cherry, he was the younger brother of John P., William B., and Lucinda.
Wiley was enrolled in the Co. B, 7th Regiment, Tennessee Cavalry on February 22, 1864 at Paducah, Kentucky during the Civil War. He was mustered in on June 14, 1864 at Columbus, Fayette County, Kentucky. He was promoted from duty sergeant to 1st sergeant on March 24, 1865 and discharged on August 7, 1865 at Nashville, Davidson County, Tennessee.
On September 14, 1865, Wiley was united in marriage to Julia Smith at McCracken County, Kentucky. It is unknown how this marriage ended.
On May 31, 1866 he married Mrs. Elvira Jane Ablet (nee McMahan) and they with her two children from a previous marriage resided in Union city, Obion County, Tennessee.
They Divorced, and On December 22, 1872 Wiley married Miss Aleonia Emily Kelley at Dover, Stewart County, Tennessee. They resided in Henry County, and Stewart County, Tennessee. They had two daughters; Fannie and Birdie Emma.
Wiley was buried in Fulton, Fulton County, Kentucky; the burial was paid for by his brother John. But because his wife Aleonia couldn't afford the upkeep, Wiley was moved to a 'pauper's grave'.
Sadly the location of his grave is unknown.
