Charles A. Rightnour of Hopwell, R. R. passed away on Monday, December 29, 1958, at 1:40 a.m. at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Altoona. Death followed a brief illness.
He was born November 4, 1931, at Saxton R. D., a son of Charles and Pearle (Hess) Rightnour. He was united in marriage to Thelma Jean Guyton in Everett on December 25, 1956.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his mother, Mrs. Charles Rightnour; his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. George Hess, all of Saxton, R. D., and two children Charles Allen, 2 years and Pamela Kaye, 7 months. Also surviving are three sisters and one brother; Mrs. Wanda Lynn of Bristol, and Mary, Robert and Darlene Rightnour, all of Saxton R.D.
He was a member of the Methodist Church. He also was with the Active Army Reserves. He served two years with the military police, and was discharged from active service November 27, 1954. His last station was at Fort Holabird, Md.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 31, 1958, at 2:30 p.m. in the Masood funeral chapel in Saxton. The Rev. Paul Gettinger of the Congregational Christian Church of Everett will officiate. Military services will be held by the Joint Memorial Drill Squat of Saxton. Interment will be at the Duvall Cemetery in Six Mile Run R. D. Friends may call at the funeral chapel until the hour for the services tomorrow.
