Angelo Vincent Amari Sr., 92 of Springfield, died Saturday, July 7, 2012, at NorthCrest Medical Center.
The family will receive friends at the Robertson County Funeral Home Friday, July 13 from 3-8 p.m.
Graveside services will be held later at Arlington National Cemetery.
Mr. Amari was born Sept. 24, 1919, in Brooklyn, N.Y. to the late Dominick and Antonina Alonge Amari.
He was retired from the United States Army having served in North Africa and in Italy during World War II.
He later retired as a mail carrier from the United States Postal Service and was a professional musician.
He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Maria S. Amari.
Robertson County Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
