Augustine "Gus" Pohl, age 93, went home to be with the Lord on February 22, 2002. Augustine was born on June 2, 1908 in Chilili, NM to the late Damacio and Sara Pohl. Augustine was preceded in death by his wife, Flora of 55 years, brothers, Moises Pohl and Amadeo Pohl and sisters, Polinara Gutierez, Isabel Martinez and Jessie Apodaca. Augustine is survived by his sons, Isabio Pohl and his wife, Inez, Geomy Pohl and his wife, Priscilla, Nobert Pohl and his wife, Maggie and Lee Roy Pohl and his wife, Pam, daughter, Susan Mirabal, brother, Dennis Pohl, sisters, Carmen Gallegos, Alviria Vigil and Irene Martinez, 23 grandchildren, 55 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren. Mr. Pohl will be deeply missed by his loving family. A Rosary will be recited on Sunday, February 24, 2002 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church at 2:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, February 25, 2002 also at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Pallbearers will be James Pohl, Phillip Pohl, Mark Pohl, Allen Pohl, Roy Mirabal and Rudy Mirabal.
