My nephew, the son of my older sister Martha. Russell was born in Washington, DC., he was the son of the late Eschol Franklin, Jr. and Martha Hazel Spurr Franklin. Russell was a foreman for a fencing company. Russell lived in Bryans Road, Md. before moving to Mechanicsville, Va. Russell is survived by his mother Martha, by his wife Kerry Dempsey Franklin, his son 2-year old Chance A Franklin; daughter, Kaelyn Ching Franklin; a brother, Christopher N. Franklin, Sr. of Lusby; and a nephew, Christopher N. Franklin, Jr.
Russell's life was taken away by another human being. He was murderd by gunshot on the evening of August 14, 2004.
