MANSFIELD: Jill A. Elrod, 62, formerly of Garfield Place, Mansfield, died Tuesday, April 8, 2008, in Mansfield MedCentral hospital following a long illness.
Jill was born in Mansfield on December 7, 1945 to Jack and Janice (Buchter) Wolfe, and graduated from Mansfield Senior high school.
Jill enjoyed the warm sunshine of the summer months and loved swimming and sun bathing.
Family was everything to her and she always put her children first. Strong in faith, Jill was a member of Berean Baptist church.
She is survived by her children David Elrod and Tracy Elrod both of Mansfield, two grandchildren Natalie and Mitchell Elrod, her sister and brother-in-law Jennifer and Chuck Irwin of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, her sister Joy Pival of Mansfield, a niece Erika Frischmann of Pittsburgh, Pennyslvania, and nephews Spencer Parr of Australia, Nathan and Noah Pival of Mansfield, and a special friend Gretchen Gail.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A memorial service celebrating the life of Jill will be held on Friday, April 11, 2008 at 3:00pm in the chapel of Berean Baptist church. Pastor Jim Berry will officiate. Marion Avenue Snyder Funeral Homes is assisting the family with arrangements.
