HELEN AMWAKE, 89, OF NORTH COVENTRY Helen (Glanski) Amwake, 89, of North Coventry Township, passed away at her home. She was the loving wife of the late Arthur E. Amwake Jr. Born in North Coventry Township, Helen was the daughter of the late Lawrence Glinkski and Cathrine Bobinski. Known as "everyone's mom", she was a caring person who loved her family and the children and families of her neighborhood. When she was not cooking for everyone, she enjoyed gardening and shopping. Helen is survived by a daughter, Sally Simmons, wife of Frank; son, Arthur E. Amwake III; grandchildren, Tara Smith, wife of Josh, Arielle, Cheyenne and Mathew Simmons, Arthur E. 4th "Chip", Benjamin and Joseph Amwake, and great-grandchildren, Nicholas Smith and Liam Amwake. In addition to her husband and parents, Helen is predeceased by her brothers and sisters, John, Frank, Mary, Stan and Anna. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, July 19, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church, 301 Cherry Street Pottstown, PA 19464. Fr. Nicholas de Prospero will be conducting the service. Relatives and friends may be received on Wednesday, July 18, 2012 from 6 - 8 p.m. at Houck and Gofus Funeral Home Inc., 955 N. Charlotte St., Pottstown, Pa. Interment at St. John the Baptist Byzantine Church Cemetery in Pottstown. Online condolences may be made to www.houchgofusfuneralhome.com
