Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at First Lutheran Church, Moline. The visitation will be Friday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Esterdahl Mortuary Ltd., Moline. Burial will be at Rose Lawn Memorial Estate in Moline. Memorials may be made to the church or Illowa Council Boy Scouts of America.
Marion Carlstedt was born April 7, 1913, in Moline, the daughter of Charles M. and Emma C. Anderson Carlstedt. She married Merrit W. Faust May 3, 1935, in Moline. This May they would have celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary.
She was a member of First Lutheran Church and had sung in the church choir for many years. She also had sung in the annual Messiah presentation at Augustana College for many years.
Marion had several hobbies which she enjoyed very much. Her first love was travel. Marion visited 50 countries covering a substantial part of this world and having vacationed in Hawaii four times and each time with another couple.
Another hobby encouraged by travel prompted her to collect thimbles of the many places of interest.
Survivors include a son (and spouse), Dennis Faust (Lisa), Moline; and grandchildren, Andrew and Anne, both of Moline. She was godmother to Eric Wiklund, Latimer, Iowa, and Peter Wiklund, Bettendorf. She was preceded in death by a son, Ronald.
