DEATH TAKES ROY RANSOM
FATHER-IN-LAW OF FORMER STREATOR
WOMAN SUCCUMBS IN PRINCETON.
Roy Ransom, 74, Putnam county farmer for many years and a former resident of the Magnolia-Lostant area, died Sunday morning in Perry Memorial hospital at Princeton following a lingering illness.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday from the Boose funeral home in Henry, where friends may call. Burial will be made in the Henry City cemetery.
The son of Benjamin Ransom and Clara Augusta Ransom, he was born in the Oxbow community west of Magnolia and as a young man made his home near Lostant. His wife, Minnie, preceded him in death.
Surviving are three sons, Lawrence, Edward and Henry Ransom, all of Henry, Mrs. Edward Ransom is the former Rebecca Tomlinson of Streator.
