LEACH

Marie Leach, nee Sweeney, age 88, 223 Walter Court, Elgin, formerly of Chicago, and prior to that of Williams Bay, WI, passed away Feb. 17, 1986, Sherman Hospital. Born August 17, 1897, daughter of Hugh and Johanne (Collins) Sweeney. Prior to retiring with Pullman Co. of Chicago for over 25 years. Member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 226 Orchard, Elgin, IL. Surviving relatives one daughter Myrtle J. Bryson of Elgin; two grandchildren Linda M. Bryson and M. Scott (Jane) Bryson. Preceded in death by her parents and her husband Hoyt C. Leach, five brothers and three sisters. Funeral Wednesday, 10:30 a.m., from St. Lawrence Church, Pastor John Slampack will officiate. Burial at Oak Hill Cemetery, Lake Geneva, WI. Visitation 5 to 9 Tuesday at Stout Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Simmon Cardiac Center of Sherman Hospital or to St. Lawrence Church. Info 742-7000.

Mother and Son Combine Weddings

Special to the Tribune.
Missoula, Aug. 17. - Word has been received in Missoula of a double wedding in Chicago, in which two former Missoula people were two of the principals. They were Mrs. Myrtle M. Leach, widow of the late Sherman Leach, and her son, Hoyt C. Leach. Sherman Leach was business manager of The Missoulian for several years. Mrs. Leach became the wife of W. E. Newbern, a Chicago insurance man, and her son's bride was Miss Marie Sweeney, daughter of an official of the Wabash railway.
