Mrs. Earl (Ina Dortha) Gratias, 96, of Nora Springs, died Thursday, March 5, 1992 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital, Mason City.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday at St. Luke Lutheran Church, Nora Springs, with Rev. C.B. Clarkson officiating. Burial was in Park Cemetery, Nora Springs.

Ina Dortha Gratias was born on May 29, 1895, at Grafton, a daughter of Christopher and Christina (Behnke) Arzberger. In 1907 the family moved to Nora Springs. She graduated from Nora Springs High School in 1913. She married Earl W. Gratias on December 29, 1914.

They lived on a farm northwest of Nora Springs, where her husband died of a heart attack on December 15, 1955. The following spring she moved into Nora Springs, where she lived until her death.

She was an active member of St. Luke Lutheran Church, Nora Springs. She was a former member of the Rebekahs, Nora Springs.

Survivors include one daughter, Dorothy Arends, Nora Springs; one granddaughter, Mrs. Robert (I. Marie) Gilman. Emmetsburg; two great-grandsons, Richard L. Gilman of Denver, Colorado and Ryan L. Gilman of Emmetsburg; and one great-great-grandson, Adam M. Gilman of Denver, Colorado.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Earl; a son-in-law, Guy Arends; and a sister, Mrs. Blaine (Delia) Bishop.
