George was taken to China at the age of two. He returned to the U.S. after his mother passed away in 1924 and lived in Georgia with an uncle who owned a grocery store in Augusta. He married in China but left his pregnant wife there when he returned to establish a home for her. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII and was finally able to bring his wife to the U.S. in 1947. They established a home for their family and a grocery-licquor store in the Los Angeles area. His wife passed away within two weeks of his death.
