He was born in Waterbury on Aug. 9, 1928, to Nicola and Lucia Angelicola. He attended Wilby High School and went on to serve his country for four years in the U.S. Navy, where he served on the USS Severn and at the Pentagon. Tony was founder and partner of Brass City Paving with his late brother, Michael Angelicola. He retired from New Departure after 30 years of employment. He was a member of the American Legion and the VFW of Oakville, where he spent many afternoons and was well loved. Tony enjoyed playing golf, hunting, gardening, cooking and spending time with his family.
He leaves behind his childhood sweetheart and loving wife of 62 years, Josephine (Calo) Angelicola, and his son, Anthony F. Angelicola Jr. He also leaves behind four grandchildren, Anthony III, Nicole, Joseph and Michael. Also, Daniela, Jerry, Jessica and Stephanie. He is survived by his sisters, Angeline Dato and Rosemarie Orricchio, and his brother, Frank Angelicola. He was predeceased by his brothers, Nicholas Angelicola and Michael Angelicola, and his sister, Janet Ramonas. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and special friends.

The funeral will be held Tuesday, July 17, 2012, from the Colasanto Funeral Home, 932 Bank St., to St. Patrick Church, 50 Charles St., for a Mass at 11 a.m. Burial will be in All Saints Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday morning from 9 to 10:30 a.m.
