Mr. Abee was born Feb. 7, 1935 in Burke County, a son of the late Clarence Pinkney and Leona Arney Abee. He was a faithful member of Abee's Grove Baptist Church and retired from the shipping department of Alba-Waldensian, Inc. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters. He was a great husband and is survived by his wife of 58 years, Helen McClure Abee, of the home. Also surviving are his brother, J.P. Abee and wife, Margaret, of Cape Hickory; and a number of nieces and nephews.
