Ira Clinton Adams Sr., 68, Route 1, Bristol, died yesterday at 1:15 pm in a local hospital of complications. He was born June 7, 1887 at Oxford, a son of Alexander and Mary Isabel Gaston Adams.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Ellen Baker Adams; three sons, Ira Clinton Adams Jr, Dennis and Harvey Adams, all at home; seven daughters by a former marriage, Mrs. Beryl Stout, Route 1, Mt. Claire; Mrs. Pearl Freshour, Nutter Fort; Mrs. Meryl Snodgrass, Portsmouth, Va; Mrs. Pat Second, Gore; Mrs. Edith Wehrum, Cincinnati, O.; Mrs. Lorraine Fender, Slate Mills, Va.; Mrs. June McMullen, Los Angeles; one brother, Worthy E. Adams, Parkersburg; two sisters, Emma Maxwell, and Mrs. Etta Jones, both of Smithburg; 15 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
