Edgar T Braasch, 79, of N1181 Braasch Road, Watertown, town of Lebanon, died on Sunday, 20 September 1998 at Beverly Health care. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St Peter's Lutheran Church in Lebanon with the Rev W Roger Stauffer officiating. Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery.
Braasch was born 27 November 1918 in the town of Lebanon, son of William F. Jr and Emma (Schliewe) Braasch. He married the former Wilma A Giese 19 April 1941 at St Peter's Lutheran Church. She preceded him in death 2 April 1994. He was a member of St Peter's Lutheran Church and attended St Peter's Lutheran School. He served on the church council for more than 30 years and also as an elder, secretary, in the church choir, and as a school board member.
Braasch and his wife farmed on the family homestead for 50 years. He also worked at and retired from Production Enterprise of Ashippun. He was a member of the Lebanon Band and Watertown Musicians Local No 469, and played with numerous orchestras.
Survivors include two sons, Donald W. of Street Louis, Missouri; five grandchildren; and a brother Alvin (Fran) of Watertown. He was further preceded in death by a son, Daryl; his parents; a sister, Frieda; and a brother, Ewald.
