She was born on September 2, 1950, the daughter of Raymond and Virginia (Popelka) Winchell in the town of Arthur. Sharon attended Cadott community schools and graduated in 1968. She married Philip Ryan on July 19, 1969, atSt. Rose Catholic Church in Cadott. Following marriage, Sharon was employed by Wisconsin Bell Telephone Company from 1968 until 1993, were she worked at Northwest Wisconsin Homecare for a shorttime, and was presently employed atFalkenberg and Isaacson Law Office in Cadott. She was an active member of the Chippewa Valley Snowmobile Council, BatemanSno-Riders Snowmobile Club. Sharon loved to go four-wheeling, snowmobiling, hunting, relaxing at the cabin, sewing and spending time with family and grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Philip Ryan of Cadott; children, Brenda (Timothy) Bergeron of Eagleton, Bradley (Jodell Richards) Ryan of Cadott and Bethany (Michael) Briggs of Cadott; mother, Virginia Winchell of Cadott; grandchildren, Derick Peters, Morgan and Chase Bergeron, Shyla Richards and Rose and Joshua Briggs; sisters,Karen (Dale) Briggs of Cadott and Sheila (Joseph) Geissler of Holcombe; brothers, Elmer (Sheryl ) Winchell, David Winchell and Scott (Wanda) Winchell all of Cadott. Also survived several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Raymond Winchell.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 28, 2004, at 11 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Cadott, with Father Don Bauer officiating. Interment will be in St. Rose Cemetery in the town of Sigel.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, August 27, 2004, at the Leiser Funeral Home in Cadott, where there will be a 7:30 p.m. vigil prayer service.
